The #ForBoInitiative consists of educational and arts institutions hosting staged readings or screenings of For Bo paired with community discussions to:

• Honor the life and memory of Botham Jean and other Black people who lost their lives due to racial injustice
• Examine the issues that contributed to the deaths of the aforementioned
• Use performing arts as a catalyst for positive social change by fostering conversations nationwide that:
  • Heal racial divides through empathy
  • Unveil the pervasiveness of racial bias
  • Promote healthy relationships between all but especially African-American civilians and police officers
  • Examine issues within the American criminal justice system

Some #ForBoInitiative participants to date include: Texas Christian University, University of South Carolina Aiken, Urban Arts Center, Young Women’s Leadership Academy, Harding University, and Austin College.
